The meeting of national coordinators of the CIDREE Consortium of educational institutions was held in Mostar on March 20th and 21st, 2025. The host of the meeting was the Agency for Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been an active member of the CIDREE Consortium since 2013.
During the two-day meeting, representatives from as many as fifteen European countries presented key events and priorities in their educational systems, special challenges their countries are facing, as well as innovations and new initiatives they are implementing or that their countries could join.
Various technical and professional issues within the CIDREE network were also discussed. The discussions covered a range of topics currently in focus for member countries, from the use of artificial intelligence in education, tracking student career paths, financial education, entrepreneurial learning, development of transversal competencies and assessment, to the involvement of relevant stakeholders in the curriculum development process, comprehensive and systematic approaches to curriculum development, and curriculum reform. Curriculum reform was, in fact, the main topic of this year’s CIDREE network, as the vast majority of European member countries have defined this topic as an educational priority their countries are addressing.
This topic will be thoroughly addressed and publicly presented in November 2025 in Dublin, Ireland, with the publication of the regular annual report dedicated to reviewing and examining how member countries have responded to the defined challenge.
