Initiated by the Agency for Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary Education, within which the EPALE National Support Service operates in Bosnia and Herzegovina, three promotional activities of the EPALE project were held in May and June 2024. The implementation of the on-site meetings with adult education providers across Bosnia and Herzegovina continued with the aim of promotion of the EPALE platform as a resource of vital importance for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of adult education. Meetings were chaired by EPALE national ambassadors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The first meeting was held on May 30, 2024 with the representatives of the “Medical School” in Bihać. The meeting began with the opening words of EPALA ambassador Azra Šulić, who presented the key features of the platform emphasizing its importance in connecting adult education professionals across Europe. The presentation was attended by professors and school management staff, whose attention was attracted mostly by the EPALE tools for establishing cooperation through Erasmus+ projects, programs for professional trainings and professional development.
The second meeting was held on June 10, 2024, with the representatives of the “Technical School” in Banja Luka. The meeting was held by EPALE ambassador Maja Antić. The EPALE resource centre was the most interesting EPALE tool for the participants. The presentation was followed up by interesting questions about EPALE online discussions and podcasts.
The third meeting was held on June 14, 2024 with the representatives of the Centre for Foreign Languages and Contemporary Communication “Dialogos” in Banja Luka. The meeting was held by EPALE ambassador Tatjana Ponorac. The school staff showed interest in the EPALE online course catalogue and the ERASMUS+ space through which they can collaborate with colleagues from across Europe and exchange knowledge and work experience when it comes to teaching foreign languages.
In addition, the latest Call for the 2024 EPALE Community Stories submission, launched by the EPALE NSS B&H, was promoted during all three meetings. All participants were invited to share their experience in work with adult learners with the EPALE community. By sharing their story, authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina can ensure participation in the 2024 EPALE Community Conference in Bologna, as well as published story in the digital publication 2024 EPALE Community Storybook.
The three promotional meetings ended on a positive note, with mutual optimism and motivation for further cooperation in order to improve adult education and lifelong learning in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as creating a sustainable and inclusive educational environment for all adult learners.
