The Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education from Croatia is the organizer of the 6th International Symposium of Andragogic (‘MAS’), which was held in Biograd na moru within the project “Promotion of Lifelong Learning” from 18 to 20 April 2018. The event brought together representatives of 11 European countries while the main themes of the Symposium were the lifelong professional guidance of adult learners and the use of information technologies to improve the work of adult education institutions. The symposium also hosted the international conference “Building Bridges in Adult Education” with delegations from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
‘MAS’ brings together leading experts in the field of adult education, presents new views on andragogy and adult education policy at national and European level. Through rich program, participants of the Symposium had the opportunity to get acquainted with the numerous examples of good practice and experiences from all over Europe and also to gain new andragogic knowledge and skills that will help them raise the quality of their work to an even higher level. All of the stated is related to higher quality of work and approach to working with adult learners, featuring as an important step in changes that occur in the adult education system.
