The Agency for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education of BiH, as a local partner of the TO REGOS project in realization of activities related to development of occupational standards for hotel and restaurant technician, in cooperation with the BiH Chamber of Commerce (coordinator for cooperation with the business community), organized a focus group meeting on 03. 09. 2019. in Sarajevo in the Chamber premises.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Hospitality / Tourism Cluster in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elma Kovacevic, project coordinator in BiH for the business sector, Dušan Sarajlić, project coordinator in BiH for VET and development of standard and Miloš Kolundžija, member of a working group for development of standards.
In order to prepare activities related to the TO REGOS project and development of occupational standards, Dušan Sarajlić, coordinator for the development of occupational standards, moderated the work and presented the methodology for developing occupational standards across all phases along with a survey manual and instruments (questionnaire forms).
Through the work of the focus group, the occupation of hotel and restaurant technician was analysed and professional competences (knowledge and skills), tasks, responsibilities and work activities of this occupation were discussed.
Then, prepared and performed was the process of interviewing / completing the questionnaire for identifying professional competences, knowledge and skills in the observed occupation.
