Just to note the achievements of the respondents from our country in the PISA 2018 survey are far below the international average and are also low in the regional context. Respondents from BiH showed very low levels of reading literacy and literacy in mathematics and sciences. The difference between our average achievements in relation to the OECD average is estimated as three years of schooling, in other words, the average BiH fifteen-year-old students were, at the time of testing, at the level of the 12-year-old students of OECD average. The minimum level of achievement is not reached by as high as 58% of students in mathematics, 54% in reading, and 57% in science. Less than 1% of our respondents achieved maximum results. The PISA survey in BiH is conducted by the Agency for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education (APOSO) in cooperation with the competent ministries of education and with the support of partners.
