On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Agency for Pre-Primary and Secondary Education held was a gala conference: ‘Building Quality Education Together‘ where presented were the Agency wide-ranging ten-year results and awarded were the letters of thanks to partners and associates. In addition to the Agency’s staff, the conference was attended by representatives of local and international organizations and institutions, relevant ministries of education and pedagogical institutes, the Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Ambassador Bruce G. Berton and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Mr. Robert Vidović.

Ms. Maja Stojkic, Agency Director, opened the conference addressing the past ten years of the Agency. Mr. Adnan Husić, Assistant to Minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, also addressed the participants in the introductory part. Then, presented were numerous Agency activities carried out in cooperation with local and international partner institutions while Mr. Mark Feltham, Director of the United World College in Mostar, shared positive experience and examples of good practice in the field of his work.

In the past ten years, the Agency has developed a common core defined on learning outcomes, carried out six methodological training, published 39 documents, conducted PISA 2018 international survey and prepared to administer TIMSS 2019 study, organized over 100 different events within Erasmus + program, held 110 public discussions, more than 200 workshops, established 500 working groups, and involved more than 700 schools and directors, 1 000 teachers, 2 000 participants of eTwinning trainings and over 10,000 parents and 20,000 pupils in their activities.

In addition to representatives of ministries and institutes, academia and the Chamber of Commerce, the conference was attended by representatives of international partner institutions and organizations: OHR, EU Delegation to BiH, Council of Europe, United States Embassy in BiH, OSCE Mission to BiH, Save the Children, Open Society Fund, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), CIVITAS, Infohouse Foundation, Step by Step Education Initiative as well as representatives of partner institutions from the Republic of Slovenia.
