The Agency for Pre-primary, Primary, and Secondary Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within the framework of the three-year regional project “Improving the Quality of Education and Training in Southeast Europe” (ERISEE/EQET SEE), has completed all planned activities. As a continuation of the regional project activities, APOSO developed standards for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the agricultural sector and the metalworking sector, including occupational standards for the professions of locksmith and agrotechnician for conventional and organic production, as well as qualification standards for the qualifications of locksmith and agrotechnician for conventional and organic production.

As a part of the regional project activities, teaching, learning, and training materials were developed, along with guidelines for organizing Work-Based Learning (WBL) for the qualifications of agrotechnician and locksmith, as well as guidelines for training trainers, teachers, and mentors. This was followed by validation, terminological harmonization, and training of trainers, teachers, and mentors for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The trained trainers, organized by APOSO, conducted pilot training for over 100 teachers in mechanical engineering and agricultural fields.

Through regional activities, guidelines for quality assurance were created, along with a tool (questionnaire) for assessing the competencies of external evaluators. The process of external evaluation in the region was analyzed, a competence standard for external evaluators was developed, training materials for external evaluator trainers were prepared, and trainers were trained. Subsequently, all documents were validated and adapted for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The trained trainers, organized by APOSO, conducted pilot training for external evaluators at the primary and secondary education levels.

The finalized occupational and qualification standards are available on the APOSO portal (link: https://aposo.gov.ba/bs/standardi-zanimanja/). Other documents will be available on the website after graphic design work is completed.
