The Agency for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education presented, on December 8, 2020, the results of the International TIMSS 2019 survey, what gave an overview of the achievements of fourth grade primary school students in mathematics and science.
Unfortunately, the TIMSS 2019 results confirmed what PISA 2018 had pointed out – our children, compared to their peers around the world, have not been given the same opportunities to realize their full potential.
After more than 20 years of continuous reforms on improving the quality of education, the effects still remain invisible.
What needs to be done and how to move forward – these are only some topics that will be addressed by the participants of the TIMSS 2019 Professional Conference – A New Opportunity for Better Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The conference will be held on December 15, 2020 at 11 a.m. in a virtual environment, with the aim of presenting a closer view to the participants on how to use the results and recommendations of the international surveys towards improving the education in BiH.
Also, at the conference, presented will be a comprehensive analysis of the collected TIMSS 2019 data, providing a detailed insight into the results and recommendations of the survey as well as the practical ways on how to use them.
